InterVarsity is pleased to offer a limited number of MBA New Student Recruitment Grants of up to $1,000 per year per leadership team cycle.

These Grants are intended for efforts to recruit new students into the membership of the fellowship, usually done in the fall, for affiliated or 'in process' MBA Fellowships.  The fall is a crucial time of year for new student recruitment and will largely determine the size of the fellowship for the year, plus the pool of potential new leaders for the following year.  

To qualify, the project should:

1. Be something with either a proven track record at your school or another MBA program, or be a new strategy

2. Include a thorough plan for follow-up with all new contacts made

3. Submit a detailed budget

4. Submit a final report

Possible examples include:

1. Hosting a BBQ at the beach or a professor's home

2. Hosting a kick-off speaker (budget can pay for transportation, housing, food at event, etc.)

3. Having a relevant giveaway book or gift that will encourage further participation (e.g., a Tim Keller book that will be used as the basis of a small group)

4. Hosting an event to help first year's navigate the MBA program and career search, e.g., a designing your life seminar

5. Hosting a 'church crawl' the first 4 weeks, with a subsidized brunch
